  1. Fall in love again.
  2. Travel to India with Max.
  3. Travel to other Asian countries with Max.
  4. Study Feng Shui and meditation.
  5. Study these things (feng shui and meditation) in Asia.
  6. Learn to play blues guitar.
  7. Move my blog to a new host and get it up and running.
  8. Get down to a healthy weight--in other words lose 45 pounds.
  9. Practice yoga and meditation daily.
  10. Learn to throw a pot.
  11. Build a porch in the back and sit on it daily with friends.
  12. Wake up and go to sleep in a space of gratitude every day.
  13. Get my garden into shape.
  14. Live close enough to Anne that I can go over to her house for tea any damn day I please.
  15. Get out of debt and then live without accumulating more of it--LIVE SIMPLY.
  16. Finally declutter the house.
  17. Study midwifery or become a doula.
  18. Sing in public.
  19. Live with Max in a foreign country for a year.
  20. Write something for publication. Actually get it published.
  21. Find (or build) a spiritual community that works for Max and I.
  22. Hike somewhere amazing that takes my breath away, a place whose beauty makes me cry.
  23. Camp on a monthly basis May-October.
  24. Develop a closer relationship with my brother. Call him regularly.
  25. Learn to take really good pictures with a really good camera.
  26. Go to Alaska and camp with Jill and Jay.
  27. Stop worrying about getting eaten by a polar bear if I went to Alaska and camped with Jill and Jay.
  28. Paint my living room
  29. Paint my office office
  30. Paint the kitchen.
  31. Paint Max's room--or rather help him to do it.
  32. Paint a mural somewhere in the house.
  33. Go kayaking with my cousins.
  34. Go to Kripalu with my cousin Eileen.
  35. Learn to cook amazing and exotic dishes.
  36. Go back to bellydancing classes.
  37. Make a piece of furniture.
  38. Eat meals communally at least once a week.
  39. Host refugees and students in our home.
  40. Reconnect with old friends who I lost along the way.
  41. Travel to New York at least once a year. Go at least once with Jen Lemen.
  42. Travel with Jackie to a new city.
  43. Camp in the desert again.
  44. Go back to Texas to eat crawfish and hear music. Take along someone I love who can't believe that Houston is a wonderful city and prove them wrong.
  45. Fix the broken screens and missing storm windows on our house.
  46. Fix the dents in the woodwork (in the house and in my soul).
  47. Go to Yosemite.
  48. Return to Rio.
  49. Swim naked every chance I get.
  50. Learn to ride horses.
  51. Celebrate the solstice and the equinox, the changing of the seasons.
  52. Play with Max every day.
  53. Make a quilt--a big one.
  54. Build Max a tree fort or a tire swing.
  55. Put up a bat house in the yard.
  56. Adopt a dog or maybe two.
  57. Lay on the ground and look at the stars everytime I am out at night.
  58. Visit New Mexico.
  59. Develop financial independence.
  60. Feel comfortable wearing sexy lingerie once again.
  61. Buy a drawer full of beautiful skimpy underwear and wear it with confidence.
  62. Live on a farm (if only for a week).
  63. Raise sheep (or help someone who does, if only for a week).
  64. Take Max to explore the US in a car. Head out with only a loose plan if any. Take as many back roads as possible.
  65. Capture my family's stories.
  66. Develop new family traditions.
  67. Return to Ireland and spend at least a week in the Aran Isles.
  68. Do a yoga/meditation retreat in a beautiful local.
  69. Take writing classes or do a writer's retreat.
  70. Join a creative circle of women.
  71. Take a trip with my Dad--just him and me (and maybe Max). Get to know him better and ask him all the questions I have always wanted to ask.
  72. Go to the theater at least twice a year or more.
  73. Take a train trip that lasts 2 days or more.
  74. Cross-country ski and snowshoe with confidence and without worrying that I will fall into the snow and freeze to death.

  1. Find a good accupuncturist.
  2. Live migraine free.
  3. Go listen to live music as often as I can.
  4. Develop true fluency in Spanish.
  5. Relearn to speak German.
  6. Take more long baths.
  7. Become fearless in my faith.
  8. Help others become fearless in their faith too.
  9. Dance every day.
  10. Sew myself a dress.
  11. Sit around bonfires and campfires every chance I get.
  12. Demystify being organized. Figure out how to keep us organized and stay organized.
  13. Develop new friendships with interesting, creative and open hearted people.
  14. Own a beat up, used pickup truck and have a lifestyle that makes sense for the truck (see raising sheep or living on a farm or returning to Texas)
  15. Take more afternoon naps (especially in hammocks)
  16. Mentor young women. Create a corps of kick-ass girl campaigners and show up the boys.
  17. Stop wondering or worrying about the future.
  18. Do a silent retreat. Spend at least a week in silence.
  19. Treat myself to monthly massages for at least a year.
  20. Clean out my yarn closet.
  21. Make time again to watch amazing films and really think about them.
  22. Create ritual in my life.
  23. Wear a sari.
  24. Rent a huge house on the beach and stay there with Max and my dear dear Erica and her kids.
  25. Eat more vegetables. Enjoy them.
  26. Trust my intuition--fully and completely.
